Geometry and the forming route
A shape that suits die compaction may need to be reconsidered for moulding or additive manufacturing. Tool access, ejection, wall transitions and the distribution of material influence the appropriate route. Design review should begin before tooling is committed.
Material properties and service conditions
Load paths, wear surfaces and interfaces are more useful starting points than a material name alone. The design may call for controlled porosity in one application and a higher-density structure in another. Both can be deliberate engineering choices.
Include the complete process
Sintering behaviour, dimensional change, heat treatment and machining allowances belong in the manufacturing plan. Secondary operations provide the surface condition, tolerances or properties needed for the finished part.
Define the evidence
Drawings, material requirements, inspection methods and validation conditions create a common basis for development. This approach is central to the technical partnerships KVX is seeking as its industrial platform is conceptualized.
