Powder production & atomization
Engineering the particle before engineering the part. Powder production connects alloy chemistry, particle morphology and the downstream manufacturing route.
Atomization breaks a molten metal stream into droplets that solidify as particles. Gas and water atomization produce different particle characteristics; the appropriate route depends on the metal system and intended application. Reduction offers a separate route for selected powder systems.
